Just a heads up.

Running a family friendly site, I have very strict blocks set up. I block all the Sensitive Categories and many of the General Categories too.

Yesterday I had a complaint that I was showing inappropriate ads. After spending a fruitless hour searching through the Allow and Block Ads dashboard I decided to check my blocks and found that they had all disappeared. Everything - Black Magic, Sex, Gambling, Alcohol, the lot - were "green" and good to go.

Horrifying.

Ouch!
Do you have any idea how they went away?

I'm off to double check mine.

Just checked mine. All is good.

Is it possible that you clicked on something with the "Optimization" recommendations that Adsense posts in your account every few weeks. I always get these requests to allow sensitive ads and un-block categories that I intentionally blocked because of spam. I am pretty sure it is one click thing, where you agree and then they automatically change the settings. I real hate those recommendations.

Yes, I know what you mean NickMNS. I don't think I did that - I'm quite paranoid about the ads I show and I've always avoided those recommendations for exactly that reason. I tend to just delete them. But I'm beating myself up about it because I agree it seems the most logical explanation.

I will be checking back regularly for the next few days just to make sure my blocks stay put
