AdSense Payment on Hold?

This was in my inbox this morning.

Your payments are on hold
Recently, you placed payments on hold to Google AdSense. To remove the hold, or make other changes to your payment settings, view your payment schedule.

I never placed a hold on my payments, and the payment page shows that there is no hold. Is this something to worry about?

Sounds odd to me.
I hope there wasn't a link to click in that email. And if there was, that you didn't click it.

Contact support and ask about the email.

What ken_b said. It could be phishing. Alternatively, it might be a bug.

I'd suggest you go and change your login password right away.

When (if) you hear anything from support please let us know what they say.

It'd be good to know if this is a scam we need to watch out for.
