AdSense meltdown almost complete for me, 4 clicks Friday and after nearly 16 hours today, 0 clicks, even India has stopped.

I'll give it a couple of more days and then start removing code off all sites except for my trade directory site to see if it can get it up to the minimum payout however I have my doubts about that.

What happened 6th September? That is the day my US clicks died plus its PVs dropped below the UK's.

16 click so far today, however CPC is only 9p which is pretty rubbish. If I can make a minimum of five quid a day for the rest of the month I will be into the second level of triple digits so I really can't complain.

Adsense is showing links and pages from the same site (as in matched content) as advertisement in main ad units.

I'm seeing a page rpm at 3 x the average of the last 7 days. I'm pleased! Oh crap, I just jinxed it! Now by the end of the day it will probably converge back to the mean.

On the superstition topic. I don't dare touch my ad-review as I am afraid to block the money makers.

Thousands of pageviews today but last 6 hours only few cents added. Probably something wrong (again) and the reliability of Adsense is going down the drain.

More than my entire week's earnings!

So far today after 16 hours, 1 click from India, 4 cents.

I was looking last night and I had loads of unclickable ads all of which looked like regular widget ads, no wonder I'm not earning!

I think I'm around 12 clicks so far today. Earnings per click are slightly higher than yesterday at 15p. I'll probably gets a fairly average day today. Mind you, Sundays can often be very good.

@May what countries pay you the most? I checked out your website and all the AdSense units tended to follow my browsing history. Also, I don't think they would pay very much if I were to click on them. So I suspect you've got someone somewhere else targeting your website with better ads.

@Ironside USA and Canada, Australia make most of my earnings. Majority of my viewers are from India but the Indian traffic hardly pays anything worth considering.

What is your daily average pageviews?

Collapsing at an alarming rate even though rankings are fine. USA used to be 5-6X that of the UK, now they are about equal with the US falling further.

Whilst G has no objection to including US sites in the G.uk SERPs, it has a total aversion to including non-US sites in their G.com SERPs, likewise with other G.tlds.

I'm not even bothering with G these days for active business enquiry traffic, I go direct to the serious architect/specifier/buyer, I realised several years ago what G was going and it certainly was not for the benefit of my, or anyone else's, businesses, all they are interested in are one's advertising Dollars however they would seem to have totally screwed-over themselves by adopting that model, in my widget industry, since it is extremely evident that companies are refusing to play their game.

They can continue to succeed without G.

US is falling like a rock and it's nothing new, it's a trend, a very bad trend.
Is one of the signs when bad economic times are approaching.

+1, US is not as good as it used to be. Maybe that North Korea nukes impacted the stock market, it could be the possible reason behind the average performance :P

@Mentat thanks for the heads up, I blocked the whole ad-network. I have was already seeing those "new" zloan ads last week.

Saturday was pretty good, but it seems to have been a short lived spike. Sunday ended at about a third of Saturday's RPM. My inventory looked OK, I only had a few impressions lost to spammy ads. Mostly the download buttons.

I've spent a while checking which sites still have earnings and those which have little to none over the past three months. So far AdSense has been removed from six sites completely, some with hundreds running into thousands of PVs yet no clicks whatsoever.

Fingers crossed I can get to the minimum payout by the end of this month and then remove it completely across all sites, honestly I can't be doing with this garbage any longer.

I've been with adsense for over 10 years, and I've never seen it like this. I won't get into any specifics of course, but I believe that G is always worried about the user, but seems to give little regard anymore to it's publishers. The engine is great, but without content, it's nothing. In many cases it seems like much more of the ad money is being routed directly back to google. They've moved their ads to the top instead of the the side of the engine, and since they began listing more and more lists and structural data at the top of results, information created by the users, then filtered back into more websearches, I've seen revenue drop drastically over the last 5 months. I believe this trend will continue, and it is basically a new step where google is using it's engine results to make money, and not dividing those results with publishers in the same way they have in the past. This means they are using the content of the web, created by others to drive more traffic into searches. This is the reason I believe revenue across the board is down on adsense.

@MayankParmar Just curious, how much are Indian clicks on average?

If you are asking me....I would say US is of course the largest, then UK, Canada, Aus, and India all are about tied.....they play a much lesser role, but are a big part of what we do.

The US is by far my best earner. However, my niche is popular all over the world, even India. But the fact is, there are just so many more people in the US that are involved in my niche which is why 90% of my earnings come from the US. Without US traffic I would probably just about reached the minimum payout level each month.

You're using a .com? My US traffic across several tlds has been slashed by about 80%.

I'm busy converting non .coms into .coms and after the conversions they will NOT have AdSense on them, insofar as I am concerned Google has done the dirty on me and many others over the past few years ... totally and utterly unforgiveable.

RedBar you do sound miserable. I don't understand why you just don't take Adsense off now. Minimum payment is $100 right? For all of the monetary success you've implied you're having with your widgets, it makes no sense to fret about $100. Take Adsense off now and be happy.

Yesterday was my best day in ages with Adsense. The strange thing is I've taken one of their ads off and filled more ad slots with Gourmet .Go figure.
