Vignette Ads got me kicked off of Google Search

Yep, got booted twice off of SERPs and after extensive testing, done inside of an AT+T store on numerous Android phones as well as one iPhone and multiple iPads, THAT is my one "sneaky mobile redirect".

Thanks a bunch, Google. Classic example of the right hand not talking to the left, and now I've lost nearly 4,000 dollars in would-be internet income in 2 1/2 weeks because of your #*$! ads.

Color me stupid, but what does this report mean?

Doing something shady or g didn't like the ads? Truly, have no idea what was reported. (and I want to know so as to not step into the same cow pie in the future)

Are you 100% sure it was the Vignette Ads?

This is pretty important news if valid.

I discontinued Page-level ads a while back because of the bounce rate so never ended up using the Vignette.

Seems like Google may have their wires crossed if the penalty was in fact related to Vignette ads.

Were you loading them in any way that might be even loosly considered against Adsense policy?

I am skeptical, if only because I've had Vignette ads enabled on some sites for a slap year, over a hundred million pageviews, and my SERPs are just fine. The older sites were up 28% this year over last in organic search. So I don't think that's it.

(I don't have the anchor ads enabled, just Vignette)

I've put an email out to adsense support today. No responses yet. They had been enabled for awhile but this was literally the only possible source of redirects. Sulvo and Monumetric were removed despite never having actually seen a redirect from them and I was still rejected for reconsideration. My only other ads are Kixer which is not redirect, native ads, and Adsense. They were loaded the usual way - page level ad code in the header

Issue is resolved. About three years ago I had used one of my old dead articles (out of over 5,000 articles) as a test page for a gunggo/DirectRev interstitial and forgot to remove the code afterwards, and THAT was what they zeroed in on and kicked my entire site off of the SERPS for. Dumb AF but the issue is resolved now so we're all hunky dory.
