Network that does those ads that follow you around?

You know... like you view an item on ebay or amazon, and suddenly you're seeing that exact item in a rectangle ad on a bunch of websites you visit. I have been seeing a ton of these recently, and they seem relatively effective.

Is adsense the source of all of these? Or some other network? I use adsense extensively, but my site doesn't seem to show these ads.

I think you are talking about remarketing, also known as stalking, where an advertiser can target ads to you on other sites after you have visited his original site. Adwords advertisers and Bing advertisers can set up remarketing ads, so, yes, they are showing through Adsense. Don't know about Facebook or other ad networks. Your visitors are probably seeing remarketing ads on your site. I see them on my own sites after I visit other sites.

Lot of them are also served by Criteo throught Adsense's third party network.

That's a matter of opinion. ;)

They drive me crazy, showing the ads for something i've already acquired, or dismissed.
