Has anyone changed the payee name in Adsense?
I know that in theory they say it can't be changed, but I was wondering if anyone was brave enough to try it. A few years ago (if I remember correctly) it was not possible.

I'm being paid by WU, and I'd like to change it to a bank account but on a different name.

I know that google says you need to close your account and open a new one if you want to change the payee name..., but I was curious if anyone changed it.
The Adsense interface is allowing one to change the payee name, albeit according to Google only for correcting typos. It could be that google is checking how many letters you are changing.

I have entered only one name for the details of the WU payment, I can't find any other account holder name.

I've read here on the forum that it's quite a pain to recreate the ads...

P.S. I really do not understand why they do not allow a change by asking you to re-authenticate as you did in the beginning (in my case they sent a letter at home with a code), so if you want to change something a bit more sensitive such as payee name they should send one more letter to your address (use the same means as the initial one).
