Question about invalid traffic and smart pricing

I have a website with some portion of traffic that is valuable/converts well. (For example I know that some of my visitors convert for paid service of monthly subscription of $10 - I know it because I use affiliate banners from time to time)
But I also have very bad kind of traffic probably originating from botnet I think it is responsible for that 4 - 8% of invalid activity I'm getting each month.

my questions:

1) Does it mean I'm not getting full price per click from legit visitor when he clicks and makes purchase/subscription?
2) If I try to filter that bad kind of traffic from showing adsense ads how long should I wait before making any conclusion?

Hi montyy and welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

This is one of the many reasons why unbeneficial agents (bots & tools) should be blocked from access to your server. This requires diligent upkeep.

Until this is managed, you won't get anything near accurate stats to work with.

yeah in my case it is not as easy. I started to collect browser fingerprints 45 days ago and so far I suspect it is more than 10 000 residential IPs (733 ASN) from 76 countries in the world and 3200 unique browser fingerprints. It is growing each day.

Anyway I think I am indeed smart priced. Just yesterday I got affiliate sale of $20 from one adblock user. I don't even remember having such high click on adsense ever.

I think maybe my competition is trying to sabotage my adsense earning for years.
Or even some advertiser could be doing that to get cheap leads from me
