Yes Cyber Monday was an absolute bust for me. And 8 years in a row was ALWAYS my best day of the year. How Google found a way to reverse this trend is surprising and not surprising. I've been saying it for almost 2 years, the quality advertisers are on Facebook not Google Display Network.

The RPM's for Friday through Monday was pretty sweet. About 20~30% above average. Going down again though.

avalon37, I don't know if I necessarily agree. AdSense performance seems to greatly be affected on site, traffic, etc. For my one site that I own, my earnings are better year-over-year and November is going to be my second highest month of all-time (only to December 2015) and I wouldn't be surprised if December 2016 ends up being my best, ever.

Guys, anyone have seen this? This flash page covering admin in latest Firefox:

"Say hi to your new homepage
Smarter, more insightful. The things you need, together in one place."

And no way of navigating out of this page, other than click next and get another sense-free page of marketing-speak

Not a single click recorded during the last 12 hours. Impressions stats continue to be recorded correctly. Ads are showing normally too. Anyone else?

Not a bad end to November. Page RPM is way up, impression RPM is also up quite a bit. Not sure whether my improvement is down to optimisation of the database and also speeding things up a little bit, but things have certainly improved. Let's hope December is as good as November.

Totally chaotic months. May be the Trump effect, the position of Thanksgiving withing the month, ... I don't know. At the end it's still 15% than November of last year (with 20% increase of traffic). But this was really Yo-yo. I am still thinking that Google considers your site deserves to earn $xxx during the month , and then no matter how it ends to be this amount, with days totally down, and other exceptionally high for no apparent reasons.

@Dmitri the way I understand it is that once you have a website approved by Google that becomes the main account, so to speak. Obviously you would have had to have waited for them to approve the site and I'm guessing that it would have to meet some kind of requirements. Once you've got your account then any other website on your account can have Google ads displaying on it, no matter what the quality of the content is. At the end of the day, you're never going to earn money if people are not visiting your site, so what's the point of somebody putting ads on a website that doesn't receive many visitors?

Clawback for November was 4.4%. Higher than usual but probably expected.

Nov 2016 vs. Nov 2015
PVs up 19%
RPM down 22%
Clicks down 2%
Total earnings down 24%

So a fifth more traffic and a third less earnings. Just fantastic. Why am I doing this again?

Sorry, a quarter less Adsense earnings. I'm one third down overall due to a small drop in affiliate sales.

7% clawback for me for November.

RPM down 28% YoY. But much higher pageviews make up for the loss.

I wonder why some have such huge "clawback" as you say. In my case, it's has never been more than 0.5 % (November was at 0.3%). May be my volume of earning is not big enough to be significant; I am at the "bottom of the 4 digits range" of earning per month from Adsense.

However, my ads are very well dissociated from the content, so I guess that "accidental clicks" are low, but I assume that Google detects these kind of clicks immediately, and don't really count them, or remove them not long after they occurred.

Also, each day, I am disabling ads from advertisers which I feel like are scam. May be part of the monthly clawbacks is related to advertisers who didn't pay? (but I think that advertisers have to feed them adwords account first, before being able to have their ads shown, but may be remains some failure of payments). I also understood that Google is valuing clicks based on different factors, such as the time spent on the site of the advertiser, and actions made by the visitors there, isn't it ? So may be low quality/misleading/disapointing advertisers are hurting afterward, this calculation.

Or may be I am just lucky, and the relation between my visitor's profile, and advertisers one is matching fine.

Good luck anyone for December,

December has started off quite well, let's hope it carries on like this. November's earnings are the best for months and months and months.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you've not tried media.net then give it a go, I'm doing quite well with that. The best performing media.ads for me a 600 x 250 units at the bottom of all articles, next best earning ad is a 300 x 250 which I've placed within the content. And the 428 x 60 also does fairly well.

I am surprised there is no category to discuss about Media.net at WW. I had received an invitation when they were in close beta , this was hum... too longer ago, I don't remember, my first two months were fantastic, but then it collapsed totally, and my account manager kept telling me things and their opposite. My actual account manager, can't answer my questions (but at least they have been always writing and staying in touch, which is good). So finally I gave up. Then, since I gave them 3 times a try (during 3 months each times), and this was terribly bad. The last time (last spring), they were serving only ads coming from Google in fact, and it resulted in a fraction of what Adsense was earning me.

I wish WW had a section to discuss Media.net, may be this could help making the best of what they propose.

Is anybody else's account very slow today?

My account's running at normal speed, no delays.

Another vote for a dedicated MediaNet thread.

Haven't found a suitable place online for just them yet. They've been good for me too - though mostly during peak summer months for a seasonal-minded site. Otherwise they remain comparable to Adsense earnings.

Earnings are down 20% overall, account-wide for me in 2016 - despite more impressions given. Same story as most.

I just put in a Media.net signup request. Let's see how this goes.

If a media.net section is created will I get the credit of the idea ? ... (joking :-P)
