By reading here a lot, I have decided that, currently -

Adsense is still #1 in payout, despite the horror stories reported here.

Media.net is #2 by a wide margin. But their payout seems to be fading, and they have targeting issues.

WHO IS #3?
I would love to hear everyone's opinion, since I am now seeking my 3rd best option.

Anyone?
Thank you. Just trying to avoid all that wheel-spinning on duds (I've tried a few.).

I decided to try Amazon Associates. Not good.

My Amazon Associate Experience

July 13, 2016 - Applied to Associate program
July 13, 2016 - Began placing Amazon ads
Ads quickly became untargeted
Many problems logging in.

July 22, 2016 - BOOTED by email for 2 reasons!
- "- Lack of content which is original to your site and beneficial to your visitors"
- "- Pages that are mainly empty when advertisement content is removed"
- "Unfortunately, we aren't able to review an application once its been rejected.
If your website has been further developed and now contains appropriate content,
youre welcome to submit another application by using the following URL:" blah-blah

I had ALREADY BEEN ACCEPTED. I had been running their ads for ONE WEEK.
I was receiving orders.
I responded in detail to their accusations. They never answered. It is now July 29, 2016.

BOTH of their 2 REJECTION REASONS were NOT TRUE.
- ALL of my content is original, and has been for 13 YEARS.
- Pages that are "mainly empty" - TOTALLY UNTRUE, PURE BS!
If you don't believe me, just PM me for my site URL, and see for yourself.

I cancelled my Amazon PRIME account immediately.
I deactivated ALL payment methods immediately.
Amazon was my go to place for everything.
Not any more. Not ever again.

Good luck with Amazon Associates. My advice?
--- Beware of those who have stolen your original content - Amazon can't keep track (nor can Google, for that matter).
--- Your pages had better be d@mned LONG.

Time to move on.

I'm a bit late to the party (was travelling and went to Germany, etc.) If you qualify for BuySellAds and can actually sell slots, it will be your best bet. Especially if you aren't predominantly mobile and you can do 6-10 125x125 blocks. The problem is ad fulfillment. I've also had okay luck with Amazon native ads (CPM ads get less than $2 RPM and poor fulfillment), and I use a private provider specific to my niche that pays great. If I wanted to, I could push my website to $10 RPM using the above mentioned providers, but the user experience suffers greatly. So I settle for $5 RPM and a decent user experience.

My #1 is Asense
#2 Media.net (pays about 25% of Adsense and very unhelpful stats)
Affiliates have fallen faster than Adsense and are now very poor for some reason.
Have just experimented with Amazon but looking very poor

Intersting to note from all the useful stuff here that YuhuAds and Facebook Audience Network are moblie only - an interesting complication

Affiliate is number one for me.

Adsense used to be number one a couple of years ago. Now Affiliate commissions are 5X more than Adsense (Thousands of Dollars more each month)

Adsense best reports worst earnings.
