Google AdSense Adds Matched Content For Eligible Publishers

This Allow Ads feature should appear in the Matched content units in the coming months, says google, as it rolls it out world-wide. It adds that it'll only appear for "matched content eligible" publishers. It's only for sites with multiple pages and high volumes of traffic, although it wasn't specific about the numbers.

I have matched content enabled for all my sites but no ability to set ads on them, maybe not rolled out to my area yet.

I've had this since Jan and results were not too impressive.

They're selling this to publishers who have used blocks from Taboola / Outbrain etc. You see some matched content from your site and perhaps some sponsored content from other sites.

I turned it off, as the results were not too stellar - opted to use the wordpress plugins which allowed for better granularity and control (match by tags, authors, categories etc).

Might turn it back on if there are actual ads in it and not the crap you see on Outbrain / Taboola on sites like Bloomberg etc...

My website got approved for matched content, put it below content (instead of below the fold or is it below the fold?) last 2 days ago, however, and from next day traffic got worse, dunno if it was due to these matched content or financial year ending? Now I have removed it for the time being. By the way i am using Adsense plugin of Wordpress in my blog, showing 2 ads in content and 1 rectangle at the right top. Any input would be really helpful. Thank you
