Seems I'm now approved for the new AdSense Matched Content Feature. According to Google "Matched content is a free service that promotes relevant content from your site to your site's visitors, and can help to increase your page views and the time your readers spend on your site."

Don't see any other threads on this am I the first to post?

Comments, concerns and recommendations?

I am also now eligible and posted in another thread. I am testing the matched content unit on one page. It seems to be increasing pageviews, but CTR isn't great so not sure if increased pageviews are worth it.

I'm leaving it alone. I have had bad experiences with "native" type advertising before, and it's hard for me to think it's going to be really relevant and high quality stuff. And I'm fairly sure I've seen some rumblings on the search side that down the road, use of this type of content (not AdSense specifically, but in general) might affect your organics. What's good on the AdSense side isn't necessarily approved of by the Search side (remember the above the fold ad foofaraw?)

So yea, I'm leaving it alone. If you do implement, watch your organic traffic carefully.

I've been running it for a few months. Actually I think it looks good on my responsive template. I put it at the very footer after the footer ad but before the boilerplate text (copyright text, etc). As for the results, I really don't know if it's good or bad. People are clicking and it really doesn't detract from the site so I've just left it alone. It seems to have had zero or negligible impact on AdSense or organic traffic.

Swanny007, do you have an update for us? I just put a responsive Matched Content unit below my article area, and the UX on mobile is absolutely terrible. Too much useless white space between the elements (400px each), along with terribly pixelated cover images. Are you still using it on your site?
