Click Bomb?

Yesterday I saw a "new" browser in my Analytics report - "WeSEE_Bot:we_help_monitize_your_site"

It was also accompanied by an unexpected increase in earnings for the day of around 60%. The page view / ad impression volumes for the day are high enough for me to be reasonably sure that this was a very unusual increase in earnings.

The increase in earnings almost certainly came from a few high value clicks in the first half of the day.

The browser appears in analytics for two of my sites.

Anyone have any ideas why this browser would appear in my reports and what it is? I have searched but only found one very uninformative reference to it.

Don't think it's a click bomb. WeSee scans visual content, transcribes and categorises it, then sell its data to advertisers. It helps advertisers to identify visual trends to develop better ads. Sounds like you have a lot of images and they're data-mining your site.

Thanks for that Trebuchet. I was searching for information on the entire browser name. Now that I narrow the search down to "WeSee" I can see who they are. And yes, both sites have loads of original images.

I think I have linked two disconnected events together (the new browser and increased earnings) needlessly.
