So I got an email from Adsense for a $150 Adwords coupon so I can send Adwords traffic to my site with Adsense on it. Did anyone else get this and am I mis-reading it? I thought sending Adwords traffic to an Adsense site is frowned upon.

Yeah I've had those emails too. Google's position on arbitrage is bizarre. They say it's discouraged yet so many publishers get away with it, including some mighty big ones like ask.com.
FWIW, I've never been tempted by Adwords, not because I'm afraid of the arbitrage police, more because relying on ad-based traffic would be a sign that my content quality and SEO was poor.
