i notice about.com uses floating adsense ads on their responsive site. I thought position:fixed ads were against TOS or am I behind the times? Seems like a great way to increase ad visibility for mobile users.

So this will be gradually rolled out. I assume by that they mean very gradually? We're a year in and I can't seem to find this. Or am I not looking carefully enough in the interface?

I believe it's limited beta test, mostly to search partners (who are probably premium adsensers)

This needs to work a whole pile better than the same ad format which has been available with Vibrant for many months.

I'm seriously thinking of closing my Vibrant account at the end of this month because of those "fixed" ads. They are awful. First off they aren't fixed, if you scroll even moderately quickly they float all over the place and sometimes get stuck midway up the page. Second, even when they do stay in place they are obtrusive and look very spammy.

An appalling use experience. And a sign of desperation from G. Something they would never contemplate a year or more ago.
