$0.10 a day?

I actually tried clicksor quite a few years ago on a medium traffic pr4 satire/parody site with questionable content that I didn't want associated with my adsense account. Can't remember if I ever got a payout but it wasn't a good experience at all and I killed the clicksor account within a few months.
They refuse to unsubscribe me from their mailing lists though so I've gotten to watch their decline through spammy 3rd party marketing newsletters.

Seeing this one though, really raises a few questions.

Starting today, the minimum payout has been reduced from $5 to $3.

$3 a month? Why would you even bother?
Even at it's very worst, adsense has never failed me that badly.

As far as I know, they don't accept 3rd world publishers so we're talking about Canadian, US, and UK publishers earning maybe $0.10 per day from their sites through clicksor. There must be a very large number of accounts operating at that level for clicksor to feel they need to reduce the payout level for them.

I just don't get it. Who would put any effort into creating a site that earns $0.10 a day?
And why hasn't clicksor folded yet if it performs so poorly?

I think the vast majority of websites make very little money.

I know the vast majority of websites make very little money ... I've joined them (in my terms) ... At least I make the minimum but at 3% of the golden AdSense days is a hard pill to swallow.

The one good thing is that the last few months have been consistent and has not dropped any further but for how long that will continue is dubious since traffic is up yet EPC is down, it's like treading water.

Odd. That's not what it says on their website.

What Payment Methods Do You Offer?
Clicksor offers three payment methods: PayPal or check in US dollars with a minimum payout of $50, or Wire Transfer with a minimum payout of $1,000 and a $75 administration fee.

There's nothing in their publisher terms restricting the country their publishers are from. Only a requirement that a minimum of 50% of traffic comes from North America or the UK.

If you were creating the site anyway then that's 10c a day that you didn't have before.

I used to run a site for a community group - I covered all the costs and reimbursed myself from the Adsense takings. I took barely enough to cover my expenses but that was all I wanted from that site, it wasn't there to pay my mortgage.

I think among the torrents of criticism that AS gets on these boards, we can sometimes forget just how appalling the scene was before 2003. I used Burst and CJ and $3 a day was a good day. Scraping together $50 cheques on a monthly basis was hard work.

I went from $2-3 a day to $40 a day literally overnight. When I was a kid, there was an abandoned house down the street and the former owner used to try and climb in the kitchen window drunk basically every night with his pockets full of coins. Us kids used to turn up at 8am on the way to school and find the cemented area in front of the back door covered in coins. It only last a couple of weeks but it was like all our lifetimes' birthdays rolled into one, that short period of time.

That's what Adsense was like at the start when compared to how it used to be for most affiliate/ad-based sites.

What's the point of this post? What's the take away lesson for today? >> Buy a wallet!

martinibuster,
Maybe that $3 payout is for infinityads only?

A brand new version of InfinityAds.com, sister network of Clicksor.com, is now available for everybody.

Starting today, the minimum payout has been reduced from $5 to $3.
In addition, more payment options such as Skrill, Webmoney, and Payoneer are now available to publishers.
Other things to look forward to include:
Brand new site with better navigation and information.
New member area interface that's more user friendly.
A shorter, Net-7 payout for Publishers.
New payment methods: Skrill, Webmoney, and Payoneer.
New in-text ads available along with popunders for more chances to earn.
