Ahhhh, Gurgle, previously the search giant, now the advertising giant!
Why not just do away with the primary function of these devises and spew ads everywhere....... :(
I mean, if I'm checking someone's temperature, getting something from the fridge, or checking the time, surely I'd like to be bombarded by advertising.....NOT!

Minority Report indeed...that movie title came out of my mouth just a couple of days ago during a discussion about Google. Must have been my Sixth Sense acting up.

Its a changing world. The future does not look so shiny and exciting as it did in my youth.
This is why Google is all in with self driving cars. Guess what you will be looking at when you don't have to drive.
Eventually only the rich and law enforcement will be able to drive. Everyone else will get self driving clone cars full of screens displaying ads.
Of course you will be able to pay for a premium clone car service with no ads.

I have done everything I possibly can for many years to avoid wearing clothing with advertising on it. Branding is tough to avoid but in general, I'm not a walking billboard (at least until they pass a law saying I have to be). Then I'll be a criminal I suppose.
Of course you will be able to pay for a premium clone car service with no ads.
That would mean you're probably wealthy enough to afford a traditional vehicle and could afford to drive yourself (which you probably wouldn't because you could hire someone to drive you around while you look at ads from the back seat).

If Google wasn't doing it, someone else would. Or did. Or does. The only difference is who has access to what.

Google has revealed it is planning to show ads to generate revenue on everything from car dashboards to watches
I'd be interested how they would accomplish that, without some form of invitation. People are that moronic?
Probably. Nobody ever went broke by under-estimating the intelligence of the consumer.

G Toilet paper goes along with it- a small printer spews out relevant ads on the toilet paper according to... um, never mind- I'm not going to go there.

I totally agree. It's not a paper I would ever purchase, and only go to their site as the news rotates quite often. It's okay if you can put up with the spelling mistakes, poorly written articles, and overuse of the word, hilarious.
