US cpc is low for me, too.

APRIL: Best month this year, everything as expected based on seasonal changes.

FINALIZED EARNINGS: A few bucks removed, as expected. Very happy with that.

NEW TEXT ADS: CTR has doubled this month because of these fantastic new, highly clickable ads. Very happy. I've never had CTR this high across all my sites, incredible! I HOPE this stick with these ads.

COMPLAINTS: None.

CTR has increased a bit with these new ads but EPC has dropped, so it's a wash at this point.

I think also it's worth noting. I see that -41%, but that's false. Isn't it? Afterall, I look at the amount after reductions and I would suggest I'm worse the -41%. So we aren't even posting here accurate results from the month. The figure we see, that IS NOT THE FINAL or accurate amount we put in our bank account. Why not have the final earnings +/- also? Showing me a +/- on an amount which isn't even the amount of my cheque proves what? I suppose this paints me into a corner because our daily earning aren't even accurate are they? It's like a fantasy land I suppose.

Yesterday was a big day for earnings which is a nice change.

The problem with these ads is that they also increase invalid click activity. Sucks that google puts these kinds of ads on the page and then dings you for invalid clicks.

Maybe, but I haven't seen any clicks removed beyond normal (which is to say it's very rare). My ads are placed as such it would be difficult to make a mistake and click on them accidentally.

I think the new look is terrific. Love it. I hated that circle. The square looks so nice and clickable.

BUT CPC IS DOWN THIS MONTH. Is that normal for beginning of the month? It's down across ALL sites. I think that's normal, I'll have to check.

CTR UP to near highs for tablets and mobile. CTR down a bit for desktop but within normal range.

I'm hoping it's because I moved to a new (i.e faster, better, cheaper) server. Today is the best day I've had in years.

Wow today is discouraging. I was hoping to see a stuck thread today. Oh well. Did I mention my feelings of being discouraged at this venture right now?

Monday sort of came back to a "normal" day with traffic, CTR and click volume however overall average EPC is still way, way down at about 50%, notably US EPC is the hardest hit and the UK seems to have got stuck in a constant holiday mode.

-62% yesterday from the same day last week. Today looking similar. No, I don't have a server outage.

CPC down today after being very good yesterday. CTR is up. CPC and CTR seem to be bouncing up and down in a contrary motion to each other for days now. Ad relevance remains an issue for sure but that seems to be just the tip of the iceburg. Not doing terrible this month but a bit behind last month at the moment.

Never thought i'd see the day when disqus ads bring in more revenue than adsense.

Lagged or borked today. Hard to tell with Nocents these days.

Ad relevance? What's that? It's pretty clear Google wants Adsense to mirror the incomprehensible nature of it's SERPS. What a mess. Something happened today, early afternoon, and it seems like we're playing ad roulette. Just spin the wheel and throw up an ad. Who cares what it is. This is as bizarre as it gets. This same thing happened over the weekend. What a roller-coaster this has become.

It's early days yet, but our AdSense RPM for May is running slightly ahead of our average AdSense RPM for April. That's a bit surprising, since I've moved our only AdSense ad unit in our most popular section from high in the right-hand column to the bottom.

Mind you, AdSense still sucks in the overall scheme of things, but I don't know that it sucks any more this month than it did in April.

So far today I'm 4X the earnings I ended up with yesterday. Looks solid and not expecting a claw back. What a freaking ride!

Edit: Not sure how a partial dial back on Adsense publishers would happen, but to me it is going to happen. The organics tell me so and the bizarre and dwindling Adsense earnings tell me so. In a sense the Google properties and the ad availability there is the downfall of the "webmaster" such as myself. It's a reasonable replacement and better bottom line. It's just the timing of when it makes sense to do it. I don't run enterprises like many do here on the forum. It's hard to relate I'm sure.

I'm pretty steady so far this month. Still haven't seen desktop bounce back but daily RPM, CTR and CPC is steady, not as good as the height of last month, but, steady.

Simply horrendous so far, the first six days of May:

v April earnings at 58.35%

v May 2013 at 28.5%

the real killer is EPC:

May 2014 v April 2014 at 68.9%

and just look at this:

May 2014 v May 2013 at 51.3%

Last month was crap, this month is even worse, every month i say the same thing " I hope its as much as last month" with every month decreasing slow and steady...

Well when you have a bunch of numpties trying to achieve artificial intelligence, there's bound to be more than a few screwups. :) It is like their query parsing is broken and people are still used to searching by keyword rather than by natural language.

I'm down 20% from last month. Not looking good going into summer.

After April being down about 25%, this month is looking good so far (bouncing back not quite to "normal").

No recovery yet.
