March was my best month ever in 8 years (just to ad a bit of perspective to the discussion). Niche, traffic quality, ad sizes and layouts and much more factor into this discussion. Thought I'd mention that again just to remind people that earnings observations can be very subjective and without some context, they're somewhat nebulous. Having said that, you may find comfort in the fact that someone out there is probably having a similar month to you although it may be for very different reasons.

Why are both of you posting about March in an April 2014 thread? Could we delete this thread or at least start talking about the correct month?

Can't know the finalized earnings for March until April. Every month starts with an accounting of the last. So off we go...

April started with the longest period of red bar I've ever seen plus I got to see my first click bomb. Because stats were so delayed, I was able to watch the click bomb in slow motion. Very interesting. Am culling through the logs as we speak to id the culprit but it motivated me to finally block AWS. I had intentionally left that alone since I haven't been impacted to this point and wanted to see what I could learn if, or rather, when, it did. So, now I have some data to work with and we'll see what we shall see.

First observation...1st April would have been my best day of 2014 but for the deletion of a number of Canadian clicks...again!

If I am being so-called "click-bombed" then it's a very strange way of doing things in Google's head, that's all I can say.

With the new mostly non-watermarked image SERPS, that seems to have not generated any kind of public acknowledgement anywhere but has actually happened, my niche days of lots of traffic has gone and been forgotten...ah well, Joe Public, back to the status quo, you knew FA before and now you now even FA less!

This is the worst few days I can ever recall. If you've been me, you would know that's really saying something. It's not all bad though, the sun is out today.

My adsense stats do not match analytics. The revenue shown in the my sites list does not match the revenue shown in my owned sites list. So essentially, I have no idea how much I am earning. I will go with the analytics numbers since they are the lowest. This is really ridiculous.

Didn't really see an end of month bump in March, massive clawback to final numbers. Yesterday was decent, today lower and had a late takeback even though nothing looked screwy. April is usually a good month for me, we'll see how it goes.

April has started off good so far, up 16% from the same day last month. Implemented two changes recommended by Adsense (one in February and one in March) and so far so good.

Have seen the red bar of laggage for the last few days. 01/April was OK but it started getting banjaxed again on 02 and today.

Worst month start in history here! 3 days in and earnings haven't broken the $1 mark! Insane!

Even after the click-bombs and the click-shaving and all the turmoil, my main site showed some signs of recovery after a winter of not making minimums. So I am cautiously optimistic. But, as netmeg said, it's quite clear that the Adsense data is useless for comparison (or anything else, really). The wildly inflated numbers remain to taunt me...

But the payment figures are there to bring me back to reality.

I think the technical term for such activity is "F-bombing." This month is getting off to a strange start but seems on par with last month so far, which is OK from my perspective. Fingers crossed.

March was a roller coaster ride of ups and down and lots of clicks being taken away. At the end of March it kind of stabilized and I have the impression that April up till now is also stable (only yesterday I saw 2 big clicks being taken back. Weird things is though, that despite the weird stats March was the best month ever and April also started furious for me. Very good so far. But if there's one thing I've learned with Adsense, it's that fluctuations are your only guarantee.

Bad for the last few days compared to March. I guess they've broken something with their twiddling.

March = excellent month, no clicks taken away almost the entire month.

April = staying strong, good month.

As of March 27, the CTR doubled on one of my sites. The visits also doubled. I had a constant CTR of 8-10%, and now it is double that every day since March 27.

I banned a couple suspicious IPs, but I can't find anything else suspicious.

I suspect it could be click bombing... and I am wondering whether I should remove this site from the Authorized Sites list, or should I just let it be and Google will handle it?

I've reported the issue to Google, but got no reply.

A lot of us experienced a high degree of click bombing last month. So many, in fact, that it felt that there was safety in numbers. During the attack, I considered removing my site from the authorized list but decided not to do so. One reason was that I talked to support and she noted that it was a particularly bad month for fraudulent activity. So Google was aware of it. And people here on WebmasterWorld were able to track down the offending IP (Amazon) and block it (thanks in particular to Netmeg, Wa Desert Rat and others).

If, though, it seems as though you specifically are being targeted and others here are not, you might want to remove your site from the list until you can find the IP(s) to block. Talk to support, too, if you can.

No click bombing here, quite the opposite. This month is the worst I've seen all year. Last month picked up enough to keep my ads, but this month may be the game changer if things don't change fast.

I've been reviewing IPs and I can't find anything suspicious. I really don't understand the sudden increase in CTR. It was 8-10% constantly, and now it's 15% constantly since March 27.
