Just noticed the same thing, except that it isn't just Revenue Optimisation and Site Health left - they have added Multi-screen (yesterday it was called Multi-site) to replace Google+. This is an indicator of how well your site appears on different devices.

Previously, my Site Health score was low and they offered several suggestions. I made the external CSS changes they wanted, changed the Adsense code to async, changed the Analytics code to async, changed the Google+ code to async, and removed Google translate because it slowed things down, it wasn't useful to the majority of visitors, and I couldn't find an aysnc version.

After all this, my Site Health score remained the same because I didn't compress jpg image files further. Frustrating. However, today my score is looking slightly better.

Netmeg said there would be improvements coming to the scorecard next year and it looks as if they have already started.

I think they should remove the AdSense Scoreboard completely. One size does not fit all.

I've actually found a few things quite useful because of my lack of technical knowledge in site performance. In another thread Swanny007 mentioned some other resources to check page speed, but I only do my site part-time as a hobby and if not for the Scorecard on Adsense I wouldn't be analysing these things.

Below the scorecard, G says "The scorecard is an optimisation tool for publishers. We do not take any account actions based on your scores."

Therefore no one is going to be penalised, but it's there for people to use if they want to. It can be ignored if publishers don't find it useful.

Now seriously, give it time. I've seen results doesn't always show up after 24 hours. Improve all you can, it's worht it in several ways. Now my reports say I should fix ABC and it's all about Google Adsense code slowing the page. How much does this matter? it does, specially multisite. G is not perfect but any pressure or advice making your website faster or multi device friendly it is worth the effort.

Added. BTW, just like many of you I don't like the G+ thing but due to X reasons I had to put many things together and that account came handy. So I added the G+ button 15 days ago following exactly all their instructions and... it never showed on the scorecard as "added". Weird.

In my opinion, for as many things that Google points out that MIGHT be useful, there are as many things they point out that are inaccurate and potentially harmful or add no value.

true, but rankings aren't really account actions, are they?

Guys, I have already noticed similar behaviour several times, it was on and off several times in past few weeks, same applies to the Site Health and Revenue Optimisation, on and off. Your ranking would not change because of having a scorecard on or off, although they will change if you follow the suggestion given in them, but not always towards better results, so be careful when following those suggestions, since none of them are actually based on your individual sites and niche and simply are an averaged results.

Would you like to guess which site is one, two or three in returns.
Two of them have no adsense.
And yes I know there more to an algo.
I am pretty much google everything, simple straight up do what google suggest.
But no matter what analysis I use or what test I run from google the results always look like the above.

Is this your page speed results? I assume these are, the answer is not simple here, you will need to check a lot of things before seeng a better result including changing your adsense code to the one that loads asynchronously and many other things on your server. Also caching images helps a lot. Try it all.

It helps a lot, and yes it matters.

Results? There are diff tools besides G, some might give higher scores, some can be more difficult to please. Follow what G says? try to, it doesn't always help, many times their advice goes against themselves.

Does it matter? yes. Here on the forum you will find ancient advice of keep it small and fast, 80k? compress it to 60k, can you make it a bit lighter? make it 50K, etc etc.

How does that impact the user? if you follow optimization advice you WILL notice the speed increase on your devices, specially using slow connections or SLOW devices. I constantly have discussions about responsive design that puts devices to work too much, yes there are faster phones yada yada but not everyone updates their hardware.

How that helps you with your revenue? faster pages, faster loads, better layouts, it helps. With G? they said to be putting more attention to fast page serving, that's all.

Maybe I failed to get the point across I was trying to make. No matter which tools you use (Thank you Jim for making available tools on Webmaster World)or analyses you run (any of the 200 you know about) the results follow the same pattern. Sites that are not close to the criteria are ranked above sites that are.

The example I used is one of many I could use in the analyzation process. When you see sites, continuously and even to the point of dominating first page results the frustration sets In.

The frustration IMO you are seeing on the pages of WebmasterWorld come from the fact, at this point in time, Google is not following their own advise, as in the example I gave where a site with a poor page speed, and lot of other low test results, Has been Number 1 for close to a year.

The G+ recommendation and various G+ popup warnings are gone from my adsense account dashboard too, much appreciated Adsense team, thank you.

I also appreciate the new multiscreen testing report in adsense, one of my sites had a general size issue which made it render too small on some phones. The "tap target" of my links was too small according to the report. Increasing the size of my "tap targets" has improved results slightly. Adsense seems to be integrating sitespeed more and more, which makes sense. The recommended text sizes however are HUGE, much too big for my liking.

YOUTUBE! I was able to visit youtube while logged in WITHOUT getting hit with a popup that could not be closed ordering me to create a G+ account. That thing made youtube entirely unusable for me as I was not about to put my real name and picture on my youtube account (that I do not post with anyway).

Is Google finally listening to users more and shareholders less?
