Today I received an email from adsense team about Google AdSense Certified Partner Program

Our program is an invitation-based accreditation for businesses that consists of two core features - an AdSense certification and an account management solution for handling multiple AdSense accounts. Both the certification and the account management solution are exclusive to Certified Partners.

I notice there's a heavy emphasis on bring in new clients (even AdWords programs haven't said it so blatantly)

Well I got no time for that, but I wonder if they'd let me take the cert test, just for my own amusement.

Also - once again, Google fails to provide any real incentive for people to sign up for this thing. I see what's in it for Google, but I don't see what's in it for me.

We are now officially Google AdSense Certified Partners. We have been working towards this for a few weeks and got our exam results just before the programme went public.

As netmeg says, there is definitely a heavy emphasis on bringing in new clients. We are agreeing to targets both for publishers we will help optimise and a,so 'new to adsense' publishers.

Incentive wise it is really just differentiation and assurance. We're hoping that they will also be directing a few people our way, but mostly certified status will be a foot in the door for us to work with publishers.
