They seem persistent and static on certain downloading sites.

I have a site oriented to primarily downloading a certain program, and I'd like some of those Adsense "download" ads you see particularly on download-related sites.
Those ads seem to be persistent and don't change, either.
But how do you get them? Do they just show up if you have "download" related content? I suspect not. Because they're not showing up for me at all.

You want them? I blocked 'em all. You can't request any particular ads obviously, but just make sure you don't have them blocked as a category or anything like that.

They're actually showing up now as I wrote this. Not sure if they'll "stick", because I'm still seeing non-download related ads, but at least I saw a few. *whew*

I consider them to be a total menace - all too often they blend in with what you really want to download - clicking by accident isn't too hard at all.

Those ads are a plague, but are "respecting" google adwords policy.
There are 2 types of Download Buttons:
green buttons
blue buttons
Everyday new adwords account are created just for this! All the domains are new and they serve programs bundled with adware (toolbars and others):
If you access the domain directly (no custom adsense URL), will not work or will serve the program without toolbars!
The paradox is that even some "free" AV have this types of bundle, so Adware is NOT marked as a potential problem.
Let's not talk about download.com and softonic.com "downloaders", that are really "legal viruses".
