From Google adsense's contact us page. Is this new?

"New! We now offer direct chat consultation for our publishers. You can chat with a support representative Monday through Friday from 11am to 12pm (PST).

Help us categorize your issue using the choices below. With this information, we'll quickly guide you to a solution. If the resource we provide does not resolve your issue, you'll see a button to Email or Chat with a member of our support team directly."

They offer a chat function now? Or has it always been offered but I either didn't qualify or I never bothered to look?

You must be special, this is all I see when I try to get help: "Feel free to email us with any questions you have about your AdSense account." When I click the email us link, it just reloads the same page. So apparently I'm not even allowed to e-mail them LOL

Request more brow-beating?
Not on your life.

I also received an email today saying that I should request Analytics advice from AdSense consultants (new service).
No way. I am doing just fine, thank you. Undoubtedly, more admonitions to bend to their will. I'm sick of it.

I received GA account specialists email too but isn't it different from chat / email support? I am not seeing anything regarding chat support yet.

Oh ok, I understood now. I was looking in wrong place. I have email support available when I go to their support page and GA account specialists email is something else. I will admit I didn't know I could email them, good to know.

I'm special too:

Here's what I see on the contact us page:

Your AdSense account is not eligible for direct email consultation. Learn more about the support levels AdSense offers and the criteria used to determine these levels.

Here's the threshold
[support.google.com...]

Well it's a hobby anyway! Glad my life doesn't depend on it, like so many other unfortunates.

Before Panda I guess I would have had a lot more support! But then Google said there were too many ads and Adsense said you need more ads.
It's all very confusing?
The reading level on one of my sites is so low I think Google only sends children to visit. But the ads are for adults? Hmmm

Just had a chat with them. Kinda like going to AdSense in your city, same information.

Its good to know you can contact AdSense and have a chat about an issue. Wait time was zero.

AdSense support can become very useful, when one can say:

"I can live with AdSense's day-to-day gyrations, I have no real AdSense complaints, but can you please ask the mob over at Google Search - 'what the hell are they doing?' - Muchas Gracias".

I'm sick of it.

You can always drop out of Adsense.

The two are completely unrelated. They don't talk to each other, even unofficially. If an Adsense guy and an Adwords guy carpool together, even then they do not talk to each other about work.

I noticed above message when I tried to contact adsense. On support level page [support.google.com...] it says that

We offer email support in several languages for our publishers earning more than US$25 (or local equivalent) per week on a consistent basis.

Interesting.

My web sites are my full time job and I do depend on it, but contrary to what you said, I don't feel unlucky because I don't have to work for anyone else.

BTW I do get a chat support, as well as other things.
