AdSense needs textual relevance to be able to match ads to your content and deliver them to your visitors as well as a placement that works for your site/content layout. There also need to be advertisers who want to advertise to that type of content.

I see that you have large album cover images (which may be a copyright violation for you to display), audio tracks (which may be a copyright violation for you to make available), and very little text other than the album name, a song name or two, and an artist name. That seems to be the case for most pages. When I grabbed a few sentences of a "review" it appears to exactly match text used on multiple other websites...

I think you have bigger issues than just why AdSense is not working well for you..

I have already been in contact with Adsense about the site because I got a warning before for posting download links. The images and streams are not copyright violations, only providing download links is not allowed by Adsense. The reviews are 100% original and written by myself. I did post the reviews onto a few forums, so that may be where you saw duplicate content. So you don't think the ad placement is the issue? If not, do you have any idea why the CPC is so low?

You'll have to test what placement works best for your site.

48 words of content on a page (outside of the site template, widgets, boiler plate, etc) is pretty darn thin.

If visitors to your site don't find the TEXT of your site informative, compelling, enlightening, interesting, insightful, or educational would an advertiser want to be associated with it?

CPC also varies by the quality of traffic to your site, why they come to your site. CPC varies by niche.

You need to read up on smart pricing.

If your site gets nothing but low earnings per click, then you need to find a way attract better traffic.

Google wants traffic that is good for their advertisers - i.e. who convert, who buy things. Because then the advertisers spend more with Google.

If Google doesn't think your traffic is likely to convert (and they have tons and tons of data to do their predictions with) then you may find yourself smart priced.
