No border around ads

Adsense is no longer placing a border around my text ads

AdSense is no longer placing borders around my text ads. No matter what I do, it stopped showing borders. I hate this because it makes the layout of my website look bad. Is anyone experiencing the same?

I haven't seen this, but one solution might be to place rules above, below, and/or next to the ads.

Are there rules [oops] against placing text ads inside a styled element? If not, there's a lot you can do with background-color, borders, font-families and so on. It's not that hard to make something fit visually while still making it clear that it's not your own content. May even come out looking nicer than if you left them to their own resources.
