I am really sick of AdSense double ad serving

5th day into the month, already seeing a lot of duplicate 728x90 text ads on the same page. Frankly, I'm sick of it! Google, fix this already! You say you are all about the user experience, and the advertiser, first and foremost. So please explain how duplicate AdSense ads on the SAME page help either of those goals? Also, this has nothing to do with limited advertiser pool...everything to do with Google's shoddy programming.

It's even better when they serve two duplicate image ads on same page...would love to see data on CTR for that.

I saw THREE of the same image ad once (not on my site, on a popular magazine site) Talk about a hard sell.

Plus it's made worse when the same ads are there on the next page, the following page, ad infinitum :-)

I used to design advertisements for an online newspaper. And most advertisers I worked with want their ads place all over the site (header, side bars, above the fold) so I always have to design 3 ad sizes: leaderboard, big box, and skyscraper.

In most cases, it is effective if the goal is to raise brand awareness.

Hey if the same ad is showing up more than once on the page, doesn't that mean it's the highest paying ad? I don't see the problem. Sure it might be annoying to some, but most people probably don't care.

I have seen all 3 ad spots taken up with the same image ads, I just assumed someone is paying good money to get their message out. That doesn't bother me one bit.
