Traffic is up.

Ad clicking WAY down.

Nothing's changed.

Except: I edited a lot of the categories about six days ago of what ads to show, blocking the underperforming categories and doing away with the controversial sections, like astrology ads. I got rid of the underperformers, kept the overperforming sections. Why keep all that crap? Nobody's clicking on it, or they *rarely* are.

The result is disaster.

So, I changed it all back yesterday. No positive changes observable, yet.

I really think if you get a good wave of good ads, that makes all the difference. But if you get a bunch of "Cheap Hip Replacement" ads, you're kinda screwed. My favorite is the "Click here for Free Internet Television." I'd be happy if those ran all day.

I don't know what's happening. It's a little distressing. I was doing so well, and then traffic goes up a little, and now this. I'm not panicking, just sharing.
