Excellent however how does a site qualify for a consultation?

I've been with AdSense from the very beginning and been paid hundreds of thousands of Dollars yet I have never had contact from a rep...maybe there's nothing for them to recommend?

I honestly don't know, HuskyPup. I was first contacted by a Rep about 4 years ago and always assumed it was because I had hit a certain level in revenue. But when I was last contacted it was with a genuine, personalised email rather than a generic one like this. I used to work quite closely with my advisor and his successor, and respected their advice (although I did subsequently spend weeks working round the clock to undo many of the changes they had suggested given the ATF Page Layout Algorithm).

My second advisor left the firm. And when I dropped Adsense below the fold, my income from the Adsense units dropped so significantly that I assumed I fell off their radar.

The email is totally generic. For example, part of the consultation on offer is an "Introduction into other monetisation solutions from Google, for example AdMob and DoubleClick for Publishers" - and I've been using the latter for at least 2 years.

Incidentally, I've tried to book an appointment for after 4th March 2015 but the calendar doesn't go any further than that. Perhaps Google is calling the "end of the world" and after 4th March 2015 it won't matter any more, anyway!

Well they are contactable somewhere on your control panel [I'm not going to look it up] and I used it quite some time back and received a quite sensible answer which I published here. The response amazed many.

I think you need to be above a certain thresh-hold of earnings [not a prohibitive bar] and you should receive an answer within 48 hours.

I suspect your length of time with the programme also enhances your chances, just a personal opinion because it was mentioned respectfully in the reply to me.

I would also assume that when they do look at a site they can maybe see possible improvements, like many here could, but they'll also look at the overall template layout and realise that realistically, for ease of use, that the only place for the ads are the ones used.

Certainly, insofar as I am concerned, I can replace AdSense across an entire site with three new includes, job done.

I've just received an email from an Adsense optimisation rep offering a site consult and inviting me to click through to his/her Google calendar to book a slot. When I did so I was met by the stark message

"There are no appointment slots available until 4 Mar 2015"

I received the invitation, too. I've had several of these consultations, and while they often suggest things I am already doing or things I know about but don't want to do, I'd say there is always a nugget of worthwhile advice. I don't think I'd be doing as well as I am if I hadn't listened to their suggestions early on. If nothing eles, it is nice to talk to a human and be reassured that Adsense likes me (I sound like Sally Field at the Oscars). And I was able to get an appointment for this week.
