I've received an invitation to an event called Learn with Google. It looks similar to the Adsense in Your City events, but this is an all day thing with breakfast and a happy hour. Has anyone been to one of these or is it new?

Learn with Google. Today is brought to you by the letter F and the number 3.
They could have thought of a better name for it.

I think its new - I've not heard of these. I got the same invite and would be very interested to hear of what anyone thinks of the event once they have attended.

I got this today. Not in a city near me though.

A happy hour is unusual for Google. A little out of character for a Google event. I may attend but I'll probably have to stay overnight.

Learn With Google / Happy Hour
I wonder if Happy Hour means milk and cookies :)

Seems similar to Adsense in Your City but with added section for Analytics and Mobile. This sections looks interesting. Too bad they don't have it in my city.

I didn't get one, but I would always advocate going to a Google shindig if one comes near you. You might learn something, you'll at least get some kind of a goodie or meal, and if Google can't help you, meeting others might.

I went to an Adsense in Your City. Beer was right there and available, during the session.

I think I'll go to your city's Adsense in the City next time.

I received a similar one. Mine was "Have green eggs and ham with Google, then get plastered green."

I just got my invite today... must have been on the B-list.
Doesn't specifically mention anything like that the "best way of increasing your Adsense earnings is by getting DePandalized; We'll tell you how!", so they are probably useless there. Think I'll pass this time. Not much sense optimizing Adsense when you have no traffic anymore to begin with. Though I've been to AInYourCity a couple times and always learn a little something new. The one-on-ones are so short, you scarcely have time to ask a detailed SEO related question, which they often can't answer anyway (like "what size screen is used to judge above the fold ads?"). It's usually more like "Oh look you can junk up your page even more and get further demoted by GSearch by adding 2 more 300x600 ad blocks here and here..." If they weren't ACTUALLY in my town, where I can drive to, I would be disappointed traveling too far for one (and still haven't received my free T-shirt from the last one, come to think of it).
Maybe this event is more like the special focus groups they do with some folks at the AIYC which are more interesting and lets you get your feedback in. After all it IS called learn WITH google, (rather than learn FROM google, as if they expect to learn something too?) so maybe they are using this as a feedback opportunity.
Looks like there was one in Nov in Chicago (google for it on g's own pages) would like to hear a report of what it was like from any that attended.

I filled out the form but never got a confirmation. The "thank you" portion of the form gives the impression they want you not to call them but they'll call you.
