What is happening ot Context Sensitive

This is not a new thing, but I think it is costing us all.

The other day I was looking for a set of tires. I bought some tires yesterday and am still seeing tire ads on my site, which has nothing to do with tires.

The same thing is happening with web-hosting ads. I did a search a month ago, and I am still seeing web-hosting ads.

Is there a way to turn that off when people come to my site? I want them to see ads that are about the content on my page, not something they were looking up a month ago.

Some people say they turn this feature off and on at will.

Others say it can't be done.

One of the wonders of AdSense I guess.

I see ways to block types of ads, but I don't want to do that. The site has a wide variety of content, so that doesn't make sense.

Yes, we know what you want (been talked about here again and again for years. Search 'turn off IBAs' and you'll find lots of posts). Unfortunately, no-can-do, sorry.

That's the trade-off for easy advertising, I'm afraid.

I think the problem causes us to put more ads on our page. Usually I get one ad that has something to do with our content. The other two are about things I search for way-back.

Also, I wonder if it costs Google? I bet they studied it and perhaps I am wrong? Maybe it is better for most.

Remember the ads you see on your pages are not what your visitors see on your pages.

Run CCleaner or a similar utility and you'll see an entirely new set of ads. Of course getting visitors to do that before they visit your site is out of your control.
