So, is AdSense tardy today or just totally fubard again?

My metrics are completely out of whack, usual thing, lowest CTR, lowest EPC, lowest eCPM, even the Page Impressions look on the low side, I'm at about 30% of where I would normally be at this time.

Lousy day, and the past two days weren't anything to write home about either. Low clicks, CTR and RPM. Just a temporary case of the mid-February blahs? I sure hope so, the month was running slightly above average over the first 2 weeks.

Same here -- been that way for a few days, adsense seems to be lagging in click reporting.

Thursday was my worst day of February, didn't even manage to get near a weekend day, even my click volume was the lowest.

Worst week here in years, traffic holding steady but CTR and EPC is all over the place. Seems like this ship is sinking.

Thursday was one of the best days so far this year so thanks to all of you that had bad days :)

Today is slow and low. It is horrible.

Yesterday was an interesting day, not so low, decent. Today is just the opposite.

Everything seems to have froze today. I was annoyed with "slow", but to it's just not moving.

I'm getting a lot of car ads suddenly. Not webmaster related are they? And I haven't been looking for a car either, so no IBA. Somethings off. Now my impressions are moving ever so slightly upward, and that's it. I mean 20-30 and hour. Not normal at all.

Our webmaster's telling me to calm down, "it's just a normal seasonal thing, we're heading into the slow season for advertising." Can't argue with that, nor with my history of February's metrics comparing badly to those from the holiday season.

Finally a click after 3 hours...one. Hmmm

Not sure what is going on today but I am being robbed blind at the moment. Getting clicks across all sites but instead of getting credited for those clicks, my earnings are going down instead of up.

That has been the case for the past few hours as well which is certainly not normal. I do get the odd click taken away but never seen it on this scale before. My own stats don't show anything abnormal, so not sure why earnings are going in reverse.

Carries on like this and I will be close to negative earnings!

I'm in a bad mood this morning therefore I decided to be even moodier and check up on my AdSense stats from the very beginning using their graphs etc...ughhhh...horrendous, utterly desparing to view what has happened over the years and especially since 6th May 2011 and my CTR.

Just to be even more depressive I decided to compare Feb 1-17 2012 v 2011:

CTR: 56.8%
EPC: 88.9%
eCPM: 50.6%
Earnings: 42.2%

It will only take one more Google slashing for it to be removed completely, they can pay for their own advertising, I'm not doing it for free.

Just when is a politician somewhere going to ask how can a publisher's earnings be more than halved overnight meanwhile Google's keeps on increasing?

Yesterday's earnings closed at about 55% of average. Depressing.

Despite being the shortest month, if I interpolate the figures for this month so far it will end up being a new personal record for clicks. However, earnings won't be anything special at all. Why? Because EPC has suddenly plummeted. As a publisher you really can't win. You can work hard adding content and achieving more page views and clicks, but then you just find that clicks are worth a lot less. As Play_Bach said: Depressing.

Dire day. Almost beyond belief how bad things are in AdSense land here. Horrible.

Just a note, especially to those who are new to the game.

There is absolutely no point in looking at day-to-day Adsense statistics. Things are completely random day to day. Huge fluctuations are common. And, even if they are rare for your account, they are almost always meaningless.

However, weekly, or, better yet, monthly trends do have value.

Save you sanity. Don't agonize over day-to-day earnings.

A part-title of this thread is "observations" and whilst earnings for some may fluctuately wildly there are some of us who have very consistent daily metrics and when one suddenly becomes out of whack, e.g. a 50% reduction in CTR as I was hit last May 6th, then we post our observations.

Agreed there's nothing we can do about it but when ONE day's observation turns into 9 month consistent trend then it is worth posting.

Obviously there can also be other reasons, for instance a few months ago I found out I had an overnight server outage of several hours simply because of much lower than average daily earnings.

A couple of days ago my CTR was way up yet my EPC was massively reduced, why? Some nice South Korean decided it was a great time to click on my sites and 50% of my daily, yes daily, clicks were from Korea at USD 0.03 EPC.

Might as well have had the servers switched off yesterday. Googlebot is still snarfing about 250K pages a day though.

Someone turned up the EPC faucet about February 15. Never seen numbers like this in February before.
