Wrong font in Adsense ads

Problem with Google Adsense showing ads in the wrong font

I have a website of about 200 pages with a 336 wide, 280 high, Adsense panel on each page.

I have set the account settings to Verdana for the font, and Large for the size. But all the ads are in Arial, and small or medium rather than large.

It says you may have to wait for 10 minutes for the changes to take effect, but I have waited over an hour.

Any guidance please!?

I've seen that happen on my sites too. Google is also testing with larger fonts where I've set the smaller ones. Made me decide to set the closest font type and size that matched my sites and basically forget about it.

Google gives you option to specify font and size.
It is just to make you feel good.
On ALL ads, they use whatever typeface and size that suits their whim of the day.
You get what you get, but don't think that you are controlling it.
I want Verdana, period. But I get everything else - EVEN COURIER, which is horrible.

I actually like the Courier font but NOT with AdSense, it's horrible and especially so when its HUGE!

I've had the same problem. No matter what I set the font type or size to be, random sizes and font types show up. Right now all of my ads are being shown correctly, but who knows what I'll see in the future. I don't know of a way to fix it either.

Has anyone tried setting a generic font-family? If you say explicitly monospace, will it still do Courier or will they jump to Verdana just to annoy you?

Since I started this thread yesterday, my adsense ads are now all showing correctly (in Verdana and Large). It took about 12 hours from when I made the changes in font and size display preferences. Although Google says it may take 10 minutes for changes to take effect it seems, in my case at least, that it took 12 hours.
