Ha, I was just going to open a thread about it now that I don't see recent complains and things seem more "stable" (not that it means good).
My B&M sites are fine
what do you mean by that? curious.
My normal earnings where X, then when the crisis came I went down to 80% of X, thats 20% down, then 75% of what X used to be, that's my lowest. It was like that for months very stable but low. Then decided to stay on autopilot, I was too stressed about it (and other stuff) so it was better for me this way.
Panda: Pushed the earnings down even more, like 5% but quickly the earnings went up 10% then 20% reaching what X used to be more than 2 years ago. Then slowly went up a little bit more, now I'm 5% up of my original earnings before the crisis and before Panda, should I'll be happy? kinda...
Tricky numbers: I have a few sites on my own, every single one with original content writen by me and my own pictures. My ugly duck, the site that's ugly, on autopilot forever and couldn't increase the earnings no matter what, except leaving it like it was, reduced its earnings by almost 50%. Another site just went dead... nothing! now is out of my network, no ads on it. I don't get it, it was pure original content with very stable traffic.
But my most copied website (pure content and pics), the one most copied by scrappers, that sometimes made me feel sad about other sites outranking me (with my own content and G doing almost nothing about my complains except banning the domain of the scrappers instead of the account) went up and compensates for the low earnings of my other sites. This site is appearing on first page of search results for its topics.
I have another interesting case that wen't up a little bit on traffic, no link building yet and is beginning to outrank some competitors. I have no ads on that site yet.
My conclusions on my personal case: Happy? not so much, in fact worried. I have more earnings but depending on less sites. One is out and other at its 50%. Kinda satisfied with the growing traffic of that other site I mentioned, there is a lot of hard work there that never appeared to show on the results or earnings. I got kinda sick of all these so I left a lot of my articles on autopilot (autoposting) until I get more motivation.
