Do I need Terms of Use & Privacy Policy before applying for Adsense?

Do we need to have both Terms and Privacy policy for our websites before we apply for Adsense account? What "such other" info can we add to our site that can have some "salutary" affect before we apply for Adsense? I've also heard that "About us" page should also be there.

Don't know about the current status of AdSense, but none of that has mattered in the past and I have sites without any of it and have for a long time.

rag_gupta have you decided to break all the rules?, It take hardly 5 mins to create Privacy Policy. I request you please leave adsense alone.
Hi Lame Thanks but those links are for those sites which have been accepted by Adsense. I'm talking about the pre-approval stage.

Yes, but you are wanting to get into adsense, yes ? Like I said in a previous thread, you will need to update your privacy policy IF you get accepted.
If you sell anything on a site, you should have one anyway.

It's the same pre-approval and post-approval. A Privacy Policy is rated essential by Adsense. And as has been said, it only takes ten minutes to knock one up. I haven't heard of a downside to a Privacy Policy.

Although, I will not purchase from any site without one.
