I wish that were still true! Also I wish we could turn off CPM just to see what happens.
In the past Adsense kindly did turn CPM off for me and for periods of 10, 30, and almost 60 days before and after this change, EARNINGS after Aug 18th 2006 were consistently UP approximately 40%.

What's your Adsense "Classic"

Classic white landing page with the adlinks units instead of the new colored ones that invariably end up looking amateurish.

I remember the old 728 x 90 with the 4 ads across, and folks put 4 images right above it craze... sent CTR through the roof. Until G squashed it (rightly so).

80% of my users are repeat users and ad blindness are normal by them, despite ad rotating, changing color and outfit and so on.
So, for me it is useful to have cpm ads and till know adsense pays more than other cpm ad networks, IMHO.

Good sites with repeat users get punished:-))
