AdSense Updates 3 Ad Layouts

* Leaderboard (728x90): the title, description, and URL are now arranged in rows instead of columns (except in the case when only one ad is showing)
* Medium and large rectangles (300x250, 336x280): the URL is now in the same line as the title

You might want to check if the new layout 'fits' your site.

Still seeing no real change related to this.

What puzzles me is the cutting off of the URLs in the 300x250 adblocks. That seems to me like it owuld have a negative effect.

Why not just wrap the url?

Yea, I'm seeing that on the 728 x 90 as well - the urls are totally getting cut off. Really looks bad.

Yea, I'm seeing that on the 728 x 90 as well - the urls are totally getting cut off. Really looks bad.

I changed the URL color to a light color - doesn't seem nearly as noticeable now - really not even an issue from my perspective.

According to an update today on the AdSense Blog; they're going back to the old format on the 300 x 250 blocks.

Nevermind, I found it. It's on the old message [adsense.blogspot.com] announcing the new format.

That's a good change, the urls were getting cut off and looked really odd.

I've seen that too, but I noticed also that the same page showed the new format in Chrome and the old format in FF. After clearing the doubleclick cookie FF showed the new format again.

Yep, mine has been alternating between the formats since the beginning.
