OK guys, well I own a film news website and 14 days ago I decided to try out Google AdSense, after installing it and getting approved I received my mail letter with pin about 1 week ago and was finally all set up.

Today I finally reached $100 dollars in my overall earnings.

Is this good ? or should I be making more or less ? I average about 900 visitors per day.

Since using AdSense my biggest day has been $40.01 with only 28 clicks, the day after I received 27 clicks but only made $0.75c which made it my slowest (still dont understand)

My average/pay is at $7.18 right now.

Im just happy I've reached $100 and will be getting a payment next month.

Please give me input or advice about these stats and my website

Thanks

It's all relative. If it's good for you then it's good. If it doesn't please you then fix it using tips posted at the top of this forum.

It's like asking people about your significant other. Is he/she good enough? Answers will vary depending on who you ask and what their standards are. Ultimately it is about what is good for you and what is not good for you and what your goals are.

It's good but don't get excited too soon because those numbers may not hold up very long. You may get smart priced after they analyze your click performance.

Your stats look fine to me, but as MB states everything is relative. Did you advertise before? What is the Adsense payout versus other options?

BTW - you're breaking your agreement with Google when you post stats like that.

When you have a low number of visitors, Adsense is like a roller-coaster where you'll see huge variations in your daily earnings.

If you're new to Adsense, I'd say make sure you play by the Adsense rules (NEVER click your own ads, don't promote your Adsense ads to your visitors, don't post your earning stats etc).

Is it good enough? No. Always aim higher, aim for $100 a day.

Actually, we CAN post our monthly earnings. What Google does not want posted are the other stats.

Actually, we CAN post our monthly earnings.

Right, that's the only thing, but I see more than that because the OP is talking about clicks too.

Right. I was responding to the blanket statement someone made that we can't post "our earnings."

It averages to about 0.007$ per visitor, and I think the average is 0.01$ per visitor, so it's a little low, but normal for your topic, film news probably doesn't pay that much.

RE: $100 in 14 days - is it good?

Well it's certainly better than last month, right? :-)

Since you have just begun by merely posting some ads, I suspect that your numbers will improve significantly as you fine tune it. I was very pleased with my first month as well, but after a few months of experimenting I was able to triple it. Now, a few years later, monthly revenue is around 5 times the amount of the first month.

Is it good?
It depends on where you take it. If you've now got adsense on all your pages, and they're all optimized with best ad layouts and you've got as much traffic as you're ever going to get, well it's ok.
If you've just done a taster on a few of your pages and you've got a lot of potential to get loads more traffic, it's a great start

its a great start. the amount ur getting paid is amazing and I would focus on more content to grow a site that pays u an average of $7 per click... amazing. anyhow, for starters its good. I know many people who for years only make around a mere $50 per month. Work on it, play with the ads, follow the rules! Try to beat ur earnings every month. oh and yes u will see drops so be ready for that as well. best of luck
