Running Adsense through Ad Manager skews page impressions

I'm not sure if this is a known bug, but yesterday I back filled one of my ad slot in Ad Manager with Adsense. Next thing I know my page impressions in Adsense reporting go through the roof. Google is basically doubling my reported page impressions on pages where I run Adsense along side a Ad Manager slot that also runs Adsense.

Anyone else notice this?

Yes, those satisfying double impression count are displayed in my reports activity as well, happens usually when I use 4 ad slots (3 banners and 1 link adunit).. but when only 3 banners are used, impressions are counted as the traffic flows!

Bug or not, I am used to it.

Yea, it was one of my issues with Ad Manager as well. Of course, if your impressions are inflated, your CTR looks even worse. Ad Manager (or whatever they renamed it to now) doesn't play nearly as well with AdSense as it ought.

Yup, my CTR tanked... which kind of bothered me at first. I have this crazy idea that G uses CTR as one consideration for higher paying ads...

But at the end of the day, I made the same amount (plus a little extra from the back-filled Adsense ads). So I guess that theory is shot... ;-)

I do wish they would fix it... I don't like false data in my reports.
