Guys,

I received an email today from Adsense informing me that they issued a payment for my adsense earnings through western union. They gave me the MCTN but did not mentioned if this is the payment for February earnings (this is too early though. I already got my Jan earnings two weeks ago). I went to Western Union today to pick-up the cash but they said there is no remittance using the MCTN that adsense gave me. just don't know what does this email from adsense mean. Do you have the same experience? Is this a joke from adsense?

Regards,

We received one of those last month. They arrived after everyone had received their money.

It is a bad move by Google. Not to mention a waste in resources, 10's of 1000's of unwanted emails going around the network (adds to the so-called Global Warming) and in these days of phishing emails, you would have thought that Google would have acted differently.

Thanks. I thought I was the only one. I was actually thinking that it's a phishing email.

It's another half-baked idea by the "brains" at Google.

Very true.
Otherwise whats the point of sending mails with Blue Dart tracking number when they themselves could have easily tracked who has received the payment and who has not.
I think Blue dart can easily give this data to google. With that kind of data its very easy to simply send to only those publishers who has not received the payment.

Even simpler I could see in payment history tab that it is showing when the payment received / check cleared. So they know when we have got the payment in our account.
So why waste the resources so much?
