Realizable Adsense Goal ?

is 50 dollars per day is achievable in 6 months time.

Hi,

I have a three month old website with lot of interesting pages and has begun to do well in SE positions. Is there someway I can project my earnings after six months. Does fixing a target of say 50 dollars per day in 6 months seems a realizable goal? I know this is not the right way to go about, but seriously feel that fixing a target can motivate me a lot. At the same time I don't want to get disappointed at the end of six months if I could make only mere 5 dollars or so. In that case I could really reduce my target amount.
Hence any senior member, please advise me - can I achieve the goal with decent amount of work ?

But health and finance are *way* over represented as far as AdSense sites (on the high and the low ends) so unless you have something special to offer in a particular sub-niche, you're going to be fighting with a lot of other people (who were there first) for mere crumbs.

I make some of my highest earnings on 2 health sites, netmeg is right they are very saturated. You will need to find a specific sub area in health where the competition is low or lower than the others (there are some out there). Or you should be prepared for a hard long battle.

One bit of advise, there are still a bunch of areas on the internet that are not over saturated. Learn how to find these areas and take advantage. It took me while to figure this out but it is paying off. In my opinion health is not the way to go unless you have a lot of resources.

$50 a month in 6 months, $100 in twelve, $150 in 18, $200 in 24, $250 in 30, $300 in 36 etc. So why isn't every Joe Bloggs making his fortune doing it? Because only a tiny % actually achieve it.

I definitely agree the graph in not a linear y = ax + c.
But say if I fall short of my target by 50%, I would be putting more efforts to bridge the gap in the next six months. By this way I would be approaching the imaginary line of estimates curve with non linear actual earnings curve. Its a kind of economic projection where in countries project and try to achieve. (:) I am not able to prevent myself from speaking like a maths professor :)) .

Are YOU that tiny %?

Sounds like a best seller personality development book's title :). If I am going to write a book after few years I can adopt this title :)

Passion is passion, but money can motivate to keep up the passion. Am I not true ?

careerskk, yeah money is the main motivator which why I'm still in this business. But it should not be the only motivator because whether we like it or not our adsense earnings are very unpredictable. So to avoid those frustrations, passion is what keeps the fire burning. This helps me think positive (I can think clearly to fix my sites for any problems encountered that affects my earnings). Many times I wanted to quit but I always think that if I give up, that is the only time I lose.

That's real impossible. But you can't just wait the money to flow into your pocket, you need to do something essential to make it happens.
