Surely that cannot simply be the pubishers?
Is it the weather chaos in many places? Surely if people are staying at home from work they would be surfing more which ought to be good news?
BUT, I have another site, on the same server but with a different adsense account, which is bringing in the big bucks.
Both English in US-based site.
I'm glad I found this thread, because the site that is not performing, is the one that I just added Adsense For Search, and thought that might have something to do with it. The drop was coincidental with the addition of that.
There is announcement for maintenance (in adsense control panel) on Sat 09 jan.
I informed Sergey that my earnings weren't enough this week and if I could please have HuskyPup's portion (earnings) for one week. He said okay... so that's what the maintenance is for. I'm looking forward to a very good week indeed next week.

If you have 50% of what's happening this week you'll be very disappointed :-(
Whomsoever mucked up the dials last weekend wants a seriously good thrashing! And that's putting it politely...they obviously came back with a monstrous New Year's Day hangover and decided that most of the rest of us should suffer with them.
Seems funny that a maintenance is coming up right when this is happening, but may not mean anything because for all of us complaining about our earnings, there are those making better earnings, so who knows?
From December 25th until January 2nd my CTR and eCPM did not vary by more than 10% yet since January 3rd it's been a downhill roller coaster with my eCPM today at nearly 33% of the Xmas and New Year period.
My traffic looks normal, my ads look normal however my EPC average has drastically fallen as well (just over 20%) which does partially explain the fall in eCPM.
There's been a hungover dial twiddler in the plex:-)
