For me, sales are not as good as last year, but AdSense is higher than last year. Overall, I feel blessed that in this down economy, things are going better for me than for some. I've been in the down times as well, but so far so good.

Affiliate sales are down. They always tank this time of year anyway, regardless of what the economy is doing.

Adsense is holding steady but only barely.

Traffic is up across all sites but that will fall also in coming weeks. I see this every year so it's expected.

I hate holidays.

Things are doing OK AdSense-wise, last month was a record and this month looks OK so far. Traffic is down a bit over last month but I'm not too worried yet, we're only a week into the month.

Nah, this season is always a bust for me. I have some domains for holiday shopping, but haven't had time to develop them into sites; my existing sites don't get much traffic this time of year. Maybe a little bump around New Year's, that's it. I'll start picking up around February.

This is a good time to start working on my plan of world domination via direct advertising. So I have.

My traffic looks normal however I can't help but think it's not!

Since the middle of last week my CTR and especially EPC have fallen considerably.

Have many of my widget company advertisers decided that's it until the New Year or maybe they have had a good sales period during October and November and actually could not fulfill any new orders?

Especially for those of us in Europe methinks that once the 18th arrives that will be it until January 4th. I've set a very low earning's target for December, 50% of November's, anything more than that and I will be extremely surprised and as a comparison that target just so happens to be 50% of 2008 Xmas earnings and that was with a Pound at a far different rate of exchange.

Today has been really good but I don't know why. It isn't due to any big traffic changes and I don't even have very many Christmas shopping type pages.

I just hope it lasts.

This is a good time to start working on my plan of world domination via direct advertising. So I have.

I need to spend more time on that, too.

Traffic and clicks at 50% is normal for me on these days, no problem, it is to be expected in many sectors.

My eCPM was pretty good on those day. The traffic was horrific. Not a problem...

Traffic, clicks and income are low this December... But This December is better that last December ....

I saw traffic at around 40% less than usual on December 24th and 25th.

Thanks to the sense of nostalgia that strikes people when they gather for holidays the last couple of days have been pretty good food for me.

That's normal for my site, now if the rest of the days in a year would get their act together.... :)

Today is looking awesome so far for a weekend... I am hopeful the Holiday's adsense blues are over! Yesterday was even better than I thought it would be.

My CTR is starting to go back up across most of my sites, in the 5-10% for most.

cCPM is and has been high for the last month or so, it seemed to increase and the CTR decreased.

Same here- I'm glad my visitors are enjoying their holidays offline.

My main sites are ecommerce sites so by the time December 24th and 25th get here, they are done Christmas shopping, so my traffic is way down. It has been that way every year and I was expecting it, so no surprises here.

It's Christmas / New Year. Folks are on holiday, away from their computers. Expected traffic and earnings decline. I'd rather it happen as expected than for it to happen at random for some unexplainable reason!

Same here. The overall effect of Christmas will vary by country of course.

The whole just seems so horrible! My ctr has been really (and I mean REALLY) down! I remember someone posting that they got 5000 page impressions but no clicks - so at least that shows me that I am not alone!

However what's going on? Nobody or a lot less people are clicking the ads - its like someone else has said - its like someone pulled a switch and people just stopped clicking on the ads.

However I have seen others posting that their ctr aren't as bad - so at least that gets rid of the idea that no one is click on the ads - I guess it all has to do with what the ads are about and whether or not the ads interest the visitors enough that they will want to click on the ads?

It's not just visitors who aren't interested in clicking Adsense right now. Advertisers are probably also taking a break, enjoying the fruits of one whole year of work. I'm noticing many regular advertisers missing from my front page, which leaves me with ads that are still on target but less "attractive" or "convincing", which probably explains the lower CTR.

January's just around the corner though. Something to look forward to.

As far as Adsense goes. the second half of December has been woeful this year for me.

For me lower visitor but higher CPMs comparing previous months.
20% increase in earnings w.r.t. Dec 2008.

My EPC the last two days has been right at the top end of my average range with Page Impressions higher than expected and a good CTR consequently I've earned double what I forecast...considering my widgets are an expensive long-term purchase hopefully this shows some sign of an economic recovery.

December 2009 actually was better than December 2008, and has been the best month this year. Maybe things are looking up.

Huge jump in the last week, specially in EPC and eCPM. Seeing a lot of new advertisers too. Wonder if people are getting a jump on the new year? Whatever it is, I like it.

Did some stat checking over the long weekend. Going to come out almost to the penny the same as I did in 2007 (although the distribution is a little different, as I added some sites and took a couple down) But down about 20% over 2008, while traffic is about 40% higher.

What does it all mean? I dunno.
