Are these fat ads CPM?

I still don't know why these ads appear on my pages even though I've added their addresses to my Competitive Ad Filter. Isn't the purpose of the CAF to block ads you don't want showing?

Are you adding the address that is shown in the ad, or the one that you get with the preview tool?

It is far more effective to add the address you get from the preview tool, and strip it down to the top and second level domain.

Then give it a few hours to clear out those spammers, and check again to see who else has been added.

Two problems:

• they use multiple domains with an ad that looks exactly the same: we'll eventually run out of slots for these as there is no feedback loop to tell us what entries in our blocklist are still being tried by unwanted advertisers.
  
• the preview tool is IE only, and doesn't work -in my limited experience anyway- for image ads (these are moving images)

I actually grab the domainname of these from the source code of the iframe, don't think there's another way to get it to be honest.

That's where I grab the URL from, the properties, after right-clicking to show the source code of the ad. I followed Google's instructions on how to dissect out the URL but the ads still get through. One thing I've noticed, though, is that they seem to be slotted in just above PSA ads, sort of as a last resort. Tightening up my text using Google's Keyword Tool can help but with some topics that's just not possible.

We had to contact Google directly and disable all targeted ads to get these off our site last year.

Have not seen them since.

What is the URL to use to block these ads in the competitive filter in Adsense? I don't want to click on it.
