White box in IE - Please help!

Please help before I uninstall ie8 forever.

Simply trying to add adsense in a site.

Firefox et all displays fine.

IE8 shows me the famous white box.

I thought it may be a rogue code in the styling or html but not so, as I created a blank page with the Adsense code only, uploaded it and still the same. Other sites' ads on the server show up fine in ff and ie8 etc, just this domain messes up.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Phil

Think I've sorted it. If I right click on the white box and choose 'Don't filter this site' - it refreshes and displays the ads.

Is this what all users with ie8 will have by default?

That'd explain a lot.
