How long have you had AFS on your site?

It works extremely well on my directory site and seems to have everything indexed however it did take it a while if I remember correctly.

Works brilliantly here too. In fact, I wish the normal ads' EPC and CPM were half as good as what I get with AdSense for Search.

My site is 5 years old, and I use the search on and off. I haven't use it for over 2 years though...and I started up again.

Is the search though base on of google's index on your site? Cuz it seems to be.

Maybe, Adsense for Search work wells for MFA sites ?
You can easily find many examples online for sites only having search enabled.
(those get traffic from other sources for sure, cause we were able to track 100s of such sites advertising on adbrite or other similar networks, publisheres where #*$! sites).

Unsure why they never get banned though..

I don't know how well they work for MFA sites, but they work well for me. All my pages are indexed though; maybe that makes a difference. I have other sites that are actually built around custom search engines in various niches, and they do well too.

AdSense for Search works well on my long-established information site. It makes money for me, and--just as important--it works better than most custom search engines do, it outsources the heavy lifting to Google, and it has an interface that most searchers are already using.

AdSense for search is about 20% of my total earnings. My only regret is not adding it to my sites sooner.

Adsense for search earns me like an extra day or so in a month. Still it's better than nothing. And I've no problem with being indexed in Google.

Well I introduced it when it first came along and I have no real complaints. Nice you can have multiple sites.

Seriously all you guys are okay with it? When i try to put in a specific term or phrase, it doesn't come out correctly. Instead of going directly tot he page or displaying the correct page it doesn't.

Works great for me, too. Takes the burden off our servers, pages are often indexed within hours, and it makes us money. Dunno if I could like it more.

My favorite thing about AdSense for search is that it gives you site access to new ad inventory. By making your site a part of the Search Network as well as the Content Network, AdSense for search gives all kinds of ad campaigns a chance to compete for your inventory.

You're using Google CSE control panel to configure it, right? There are now quite a few options for you to tweak it, if getting it to work properly is the problem.

Unless I'm mistaken, AdSense for Search results are simply Google Search results for the publisher's site (i.e., they're a filtered version of what you'd find in the main Google Web Search index). If the OP's pages are crawler-friendly (descriptive page titles, headlines, subheads, etc.), AdSense for Search results should be just fine.

hello guys. I'm also having a pretty good result with adsense for search. up to 10% CTR. but the problem is that I can not see the queries being typed in my site search engine. I'm using the Custom Search Engine Element witch is good, you can tweak it, (as Zdgn mentioned above). even if you use the G analytic you still can't see the queries.
the G.C.S.E say this "we take reasonable steps to protect your users' privacy." so this means that I am not allowed to what is being type in my site search engine, too bad.
it would very much help if I could see the queries, cos just the month of Nov, I had 1000 queries at a CTR of 7.50%.
anyone experiencing the same thing?

November for me was : 21,972 queries 12.53% CTR
A little above average.

I dunno; I'm looking in my Google Analytics and I'm seeing the site search queries. It's under Content / Site Search.
