I'm seeing quite a few "Not Found" items in the report. But the URLs look fine and pasting them (after taking out the sily spaces Google was so nice to insert) they work fine. Am I missing something or is Google off in bugville?

I have that as well, it seems to be when people view the cache version of a page, or use that Google service to read a page in another language. My robots.txt is fine, and it's always given as the reason for the block.

Not sure what, if anything, to do about it.

I see those too. But what I'm talking about is normal, i.e. direct, URLs to real pages. The "Not Found" is just plain wrong.

Somebody somewhere might have tried to link to your pages with those silly spaces inserted which would result in them not being found.

I frequently see pages in my report where the URLs listed haven't existed since early 2006. I don't worry too much about them, but if I can figure out what page they now equate to then I 301 them to the current page.

I reported something similar a month or so back but no one could shed any light on it.

I now just ignore them. Never see a real page.
