Google says GAN and Adsense are not linked...

Has anyone who already linked their GAN account to an Adsense account received an email from Google stating you have not linked your account?

Yep. Back in August they sent the linked status confirmation message to my Google Account email. (A couple of months ago they requested that the GAN email must be a Google Account email.)

Now I got the non-linked message to my old, non-Google Account GAN email.
