My site is one where it covers a broad range of quite unrelated subtopics. I've been considering grouping some of my related Adsense channels into a few very topic-focused Adsesnse Ad Placements (as a benefit for AdWords advertisers).

Is anyone here using the Adsense Ad Placement option?

Did eCPM improve for your channels that were turned into Ad Placements?

Did creating Ad Placements have a negative impact on the overall earnings of your website?

Are there any reasons why or circumstances where Ad Placements are not a good idea?

I've done it, but I don't know what impact it's had. My average EPC is up hugely over last year at this time, though, so ad placements certainly haven't hurt.

I decided to go ahead and do this.

I realize that it can be difficult to get a complete overview of how a site is performing but don't Ad Placements and regular target based ads get reported in different sections in Adsense, so a comparison of some type could be made? I guess I'll know in the coming weeks.

I've been doing this for years, Site based advertising is quite limited. Wish G had tools/incentives to recruit advertisers

You can do some of it in a limited fashion with Ad Manager and Ad Planner.
