I'm enjoying a record earning day thanks to a new advertiser. Goes to show that if an ad is good, people will check it out.
Lucky you! Send them my way when you're done with them.
...it's getting the top spot in all my AdSense formats all day, so I'm guessing they're spending more than the usual suspects.
I've seen the same thing. One in particular has been doing it a few times a month for the last couple of years.
I guess this might be throwing cold water on the party, but when I see something like this, it makes me wonder if the advertiser is paying more than he needs to get impressions/clicks because of a lack of understanding of the complexities of AdWords. And if he is and finds out, will that mean we'll lose that advertiser forever, not to mention the bad PR as he goes on forums, business meetings, etc. and tells about his bad experience.

There are plenty more who will follow behind them. Sure, they might badmouth the system because of their bad experience. But these guys likely aren't the sharpest tools in the shed to start with, and people who know them probably already take their advice with a grain of salt. Besides, every fool thinks they can succeed where others have failed, simply by changing the formula a little bit.

Ouch!
From time to time I stop by the AdWords forum and I see people who have had a good experience badmouth the system - even those who are so good at AdWords they get paid by others to manage AdWords accounts - and some of those people are also publishers and post on this forum. Some might not like the dull tool comparison.
