It seems to me that I hit my earning by adding ad block

Hi:) Maybe somebody will help me to undestand the situation. I use to have 1 block at some pages (text only, at the middle of the page). At the top of the page was situated a banner from direct advertiser. As this advertisement have stopped for a month I desided to add another adsense block instead (graphic only, at the top of the page). The problem is that in my country Google doesn't have a lot of graphic ads, & they are very cheap. So for now the code of the cheap ads is above the code of another ads. Could it be that because of placing cheap graphic ads at the top I decrease my earning?

Because of I think that text add at the top look ugly. But however I'll try - just to experiment

zuses, remember what many of us have said. Sometimes the ugly sites and ugly ads pay more and get more clicks. I don't care about the looks if ugly makes more money! lol

WolfLover, thanks :) I do remember. But as a matter of fact I'm afraid that ugly looking sites don't attract direct advertisers. I have some & my earnings from direct advertisement are much higher than from adsense. That's why I worry.
