August 2008 to March 2009 continuse decrease of CTR.

April, May, June continuse increase of CTR.

But first July week shows a 9% decrease of CTR.

Only March and April 2009 are worse in CTR.

Up until 31st March, I was doing great. Broke my baseline every day.

April 1st onwards - nose dived.

Hey not to sound like an ass and I do like to read people's perceptions on their Adsense earnings but isn't "disaster" a bit much? A 9% drop in CTR seems normal over the course of a week or even a month. Do you think people that go to your website are robots and will click your links absolutely 1%, 2%, or 5% of the time? Of course not, if you can't handle the swings get yourself a new line of occupation.

Cheer up. Consider yourself fortunate at only 9%. I'm down about 20% from June, and 50% from March--Roughly 75% from a year ago.

jetteroheller:

You are comparing the CTR for a week to that of a month or more. That's not a very useful comparison. For all you know, the rest of July could turn out great and bring the monthly CTR number up to match or even exceed the earlier months. Maybe it will, maybe it won't, but until the month is over you can't make a very meaningful comparison.

Also, some in this forum have reported have reported lower CTR but higher EPC. You didn't mention EPC, how's that going for you?

And the first week of July did include the 4th of July holiday weekend in the US.

4th of July holiday...

Very significant for my sites. Traffic is off considerably for me, which explains everything else quite easily. Today is the 8th and I'm only just now seeing normal traffic numbers again.
